Emmy Broomfield – Senior Coach
I get daily joy from sharing my passion for communication with others, and I’ve witnessed the life-changing power that effective communication can have.
My professional life has been diverse, from working within the charity sector, delivering workplace training, leading and running choirs and music projects, and performing as a vocalist. These rich experiences led me to realise that my vocation is helping people from all walks of life find their voice. After discovering my calling to be a coach, I completed the MA in Voice Studies at the Royal Central School for Speech and Drama. Since then I’ve coached hundreds of actors and business professionals in life-changing voice and communication techniques. I have a particular interest in presence, confidence, personal impact, and “being authentically you”. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than helping someone to get over their fear of public speaking. I also hugely enjoy helping people who want to soften their accent in order to be better understood.
Thanks to my career experience, I’m well-placed to coach clients on all elements of being in front of an audience: from leading meetings, to facilitating training, to presenting to large and small groups. My approach to coaching leans heavily on psychology and the body-mind connection, as well as the neuroscience of learning and habit building. In essence, these are also the foundations of The Serlin Method. Clients have described me as empathetic, positive, and inclusive, with a keen eye for detail. I’d describe myself as your communication cheerleader; I’ll always have your back, and I’ll be with you every step of the way.
